Big Meech’s Parents
Demetrius Edward Flenory, famously known as Big Meech, was born on June 21, 1968, in Cleveland, Ohio, to his parents, Charles and Lucille Flenory.
At the time of his birth, his parents had no clue that their son would become a notorious drug lord. Today, they have disassociated themselves from the illegal activities of their two sons.
Big Meech’s Mother?
Lucille Flenory is the mother of both Big Meech and Southwest. She raised her children according to Christian principles, but unfortunately, they strayed from the path of righteousness.
Despite her best efforts, she faced numerous challenges, such as financial difficulties in paying bills and keeping her home in order.
On one occasion, she even kicked Big Meech out of the house for bringing a gun home and attempted to get him to be a good example for his little brother Terry.
It is unclear what Lucille’s academic history is, but she worked in places like Wendy’s to make ends meet before her children grew up.
Lucille tried her best to keep her son off the streets, but when the law caught up with him, she distanced herself from the drug empire to avoid any association.
Despite her son’s involvement in organized crime, Lucille Flenory has not abandoned them altogether. She still campaigns for Big Meech’s release and has taken advantage of the popularity of the BMF brand to sell merchandise.
Additionally, she supports the TV show about her sons’ lives, in which Michole Briana White, an American actress, portrays her.
The Starz series BMF depicts the criminal activities of the Flenory brothers and how they were eventually apprehended by law enforcement.
Notably, Lucille has expressed her satisfaction with White’s portrayal of her character on the show, which resembles her.

Although both brothers went to the same high school, they did not pursue further education as they became involved in criminal activities.
Black Mafia Family (BMF)
The Flenory brothers co-founded the Black Mafia Family, which was one of the most notorious drug and money-laundering organizations in the US during the 1980s.
They began as high school students selling $50 bags of cocaine in their hometown of Southwest Detroit before expanding across different states, eventually selling many kilograms of cocaine by the year 2000.
The organization had over 500 members nationwide, but a feud between the brothers in 2003 led to their separation. Southwest moved to Los Angeles, while Big Meech remained in Atlanta, the organization’s main distribution centre.
In 2005, the law caught up with them, and in 2007, they pleaded guilty to charges of running a criminal organization. They were both sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Demetrius Flenory is serving his sentence at Federal Correctional Institution, Sheridan, and will be 61 when he is officially released.
Terry was granted an early release to home confinement on May 5, 2020, due to health issues during the COVID-19 pandemic, but Demetrius’s appeal for his own release was denied.
